Hope for my family - Every help counts!

Dear supporters,

During my visit in February 2025, I experienced the immeasurable suffering of my family at first hand. The war has destroyed countless livelihoods: bombed-out houses, a lack of medical care, hardly any water or electricity - everyday life is full of hardship. Women, children and elderly people who are struggling to survive without financial means are particularly affected.

Our own capacities are not sufficient to meet the most urgent needs. That is why I am asking for your support for eight families who urgently need help to improve their living situation.

What is the aid needed for?

🌟 Basic supply: Food, medication and medical treatment for relatives, some of whom are seriously ill (leukaemia, diabetes, lung diseases).
🏘️ Accommodation & Reconstruction: Many families have lost their homes in bombing raids. They need safe accommodation or building materials for reconstruction.
🌟 Securing livelihoods & prospects: Women have lost everything in the war and need help to build a new life.

Who are the people affected?

They are my nephews, nieces and their children who have been uprooted by the war. Some are returning to Damascus from Idlib, Aleppo, Lebanon or Turkey, others have stayed there - all in existential distress. A nephew was abducted and tortured to death at the beginning of the war, many men have died. Women and children were left destitute. They are all deeply traumatised, many are physically ill and almost all have no work or prospects. But they don't want to give up. They hope to rebuild their lives - but this is not possible without support.
